Oracle announced two new models of its Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) system, bringing the full performance and reliability of Oracle Engineered Systems to small and medium-sized businesses for the first time.
In addition, organizations are seeking opportunities to migrate to the cloud, and Oracle's new database systems provide a bridge between on-premises systems and the cloud. In the future, organizations planning to connect their ODA systems to Oracle Cloud will be able to transfer their data seamlessly and automatically.
"The launch of Oracle Database Appliance systems has definitely reduced the complexity of the environment and allowed us to support the growth of our data, which has increased 25-fold in recent years," said Jacqueline Hufford-Jenson, senior manager of Database Administration at LifeLock, a fast-growing medium-sized company. “Today, by using Oracle Database Appliance, we have immediately reduced latency significantly, which has played an important role in helping us grow as a company.”
