The ERP portal, one of the great hubs of the ERP systems market in Brazil, released at the beginning of April the results of its annual survey on the behavior and trends of the sector in the country. As it considers the current market data to be inconclusive, the portal carries out a national survey called "Panorama Mercado de ERP", in which companies of all sizes answer a questionnaire focused on the segment.
Collecting information from October 2016 to January this year, the survey reached the mark of 4,576 participating companies. To filter the results, the Portal established 6 sample dimensions, such as position, company, technological, behavioral and financial aspects.
In order to define more assertive filters, the survey was carried out using the criteria established by the IBGE and the BNDES, in order to seek a better balance of sizes: micro companies with 26%, medium and small companies with 22% and large companies with 20%. Despite the focus on technology, various segments were taken into account in addition to IT, such as industry, services and retail.
Analyzing the data found, some significant trends were observed for the evolution of the country's scenario, where 44% of the participants (around 2,000 companies) have plans to update or implement new ERP modules to their processes and 25% aim to use Big Data tools or other data extraction and analysis tools as a focus in the future.
Another relevant point is that 77% of companies say they are satisfied or very satisfied with their ERP and less than 4% are dissatisfied with their business management software.
Regarding the installed ERP base, we would highlight the continued leadership of TOTVS with 38%, SAP with 5%, Mega and Sênior Sistemas with 3% each and Microsoft with 1%, among several other suppliers mentioned.
